The Daisy Studs

The Daisy Studs translate an organic floral silhouette into clean, architectural goldwork. Stoney designed each earring with a distinct radial array of sculpted solid gold petals fanning outward from a four-prong basket. The mirror-polished contours catch ambient light from every angle, naturally expanding the visual presence of the setting across the earlobe.

At the heart of the bloom sits a round Australian sapphire, hand-selected for its characteristic teal undertones of deep oceanic blue and rich forest green. Departing from a conventional symmetrical halo, Stoney introduced a subtle, asymmetric signature: a solitary brilliant-cut white diamond flush-set into the crown of the topmost petal, capturing the look of a single morning dewdrop resting on a petal.

Achieving crisp definition across twelve individual gold petals demands exacting bench precision. Each petal contour is meticulously hand-finished to maintain sharp geometry and high-luster reflections without softening the edges. Securing the central teal sapphire while cleanly grain-setting the micro-diamond into the curved upper petal requires delicate microscope control.
