The Eclipse Studs introduce a rare concept to fine jewelry: pairing two distinctly colored natural sapphires as a single, harmonious collector's set. Traditional jewelers spend months searching for identical color twins, but our Spectrum Collection embraces the geological reality of Australian gem fields. By placing a velvety deep royal blue on one ear and a rich forest green on the other, this piece turns intentional mismatching into a rare high-jewelry signature.

Sourcing two distinct natural sapphires that work together as a mismatched pair is exceptionally rare. While the colors must contrast completely, their physical proportions cannot deviate by even a fraction of a millimeter. Stoney hand-selects each 5mm round gem from thousands of rough-cut crystals, ensuring both the midnight blue and rich olive-green stones share the exact same table diameter, crown height, and light refraction so they sit with identical visual weight.

The architecture of the earring uses negative space to amplify this gemstone contrast. Instead of closing the stones in a standard halo, Stoney sculpted an open-air crescent ribbon of solid gold that hugs one hemisphere of the sapphire, set with graduating brilliant-cut white diamonds. To prevent the asymmetrical crescent from tilting on the earlobe, the earring post is balanced directly behind the center of gravity, allowing the diamond arcs to mirror each other outward along the jawline.
