The Element Studs

The Element Studs represent jewelry reduced to its most fundamental purpose: presenting a perfect gemstone to the light. The design is a classic four-claw wire basket, elevated slightly to allow ambient illumination to flood the 5mm Round Sapphire from the sides and beneath the pavilion.

This open-architecture setting drastically minimizes the metal surrounding the gem. By eliminating the solid walls of a standard bezel or the thick base of a traditional cup, the sapphire appears suspended, maximizing its internal brilliance and allowing its vivid huewhether Open Blue or Forest Greento radiate without interference.

Each pair is individually matched from the same Gemfields parcel. The four prongs are hand-burnished into smooth, rounded tips that secure the stone tightly while remaining visually unobtrusive and completely comfortable against the ear.
