The Garland Studs

The Garland Studs depart from traditional halo settings by introducing intricate, sculptural goldwork directly into the gallery. Stoney designed this earring around a continuous, woven 'rope' of solid gold that acts as the prongs for the central Australian sapphire, wrapping the stone in a floral-inspired embrace.

Surrounding this woven center is a perfectly matched halo of brilliant cut white diamonds. The diamonds are nestled tight against the gold rope, adding exceptional fire to the rich, deep colour of the central sapphire. Stoney selects each primary stone to ensure it stands out sharply against its halowhether a velvety Forest Green or a vivid Open Blue.

Crafting the woven gallery requires immense bench precision. The intertwining gold must sit perfectly flush against the sapphire while securely anchoring the diamond halo beneath it. It is a masterpiece of finishing that brings a delicate, organic romance to the classic stud profile.
