The Luna Drops bring movement and modern celestial form together in a single, balanced silhouette. Stoney sculpted the crescent moon frame with soft, domed contours that taper naturally toward the tips, creating a fluid alcove for the central gem. Nestled within the inner curve sits a smooth, full-bezel setting, while an articulated link beneath the lower tip suspends a single brilliant-cut diamond drop.

The design can be paired with either a velvety royal blue or rich forest green Australian sapphire, cast in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold. The mirror-polished curve of the moon acts as a natural reflector for the center stone, while the dangling bezel-set diamond adds a lively flash of fire that sways delicately with natural head movement.

Engineering a drop earring with a stationary upper motif requires exact balance at the bench. Stoney positioned the ear post to counterbalance the weight of both the crescent and the lower articulated drop, ensuring the earring hangs straight without pulling forward. Hand-lapping the interior and exterior curves of the crescent to a distortion-free mirror polish takes meticulous wheel control before securing the stones in their protective bezel collars.
