The Meridian Pillar Pendant

"When you build an open-frame pendant with this much negative space, structural rigidity is everything. If the outer gold rails are even slightly under-engineered, the piece will twist under daily wear. We cast this in a solid 2.95-gram 18k yellow gold framework with a 2.5mm bar thickness so the frame stays dead-flat. The real bench challenge is mounting those three 1.8mm bezel diamonds inside the open window. They have to appear completely floating while staying laser-aligned down the center axis. Down at the base, the square sapphire is housed in a deep 3.70mm protective box bezel. On the reverse, we integrated an arched 8.12mm curved under-bail—this keeps the 18mm pillar sitting flat against the collarbone without rolling forward when you walk."
