"When this 7x5mm oval came across the bench, the pleochroism was immediately striking—rich forest green through the length and electric teal flashing right across the table. Setting an oval horizontally requires absolute precision: the bezel has to be rolled over the girdle evenly so the stone sits completely level without a fraction of tilt. The real test is hand-setting those six accent diamonds into the top and bottom triangular chevrons. The points must align dead-center with the sapphire’s axis, creating that sharp, compass-needle symmetry. It’s solid, snag-free, and built to catch daylight from every single angle."
